ANALOG TO DIGITAL |
| If you have captured some of life's most memorable moments on video, and now they're just hanging around collecting dust and aging you've come to the right place. Did you know that video cassette tapes start to degrade in under 10 years - even if they're just in storage! |
| We will take your video tapes (VHS, 8mm, or even Beta) and convert them to digital format (MPEG 1 or MPEG 2, we can also convert to Apple Quick Time, Microsoft Windows Media, or Real Format). |
You have your choice of :
1.) DVD (MPEG 2 720 X 480 or 640 X 480)
2.) SVCD (MPEG 2 480 X 480)
3.) VCD (MPEG 320X240)
4.) Apple Quicktime, Windows Media, or Real (any size)
|
| The digitized (mpeg format) disks suitable to watch on your PC, copy to your hard drive or make copies for a friend or relative
OR Video CD (VCD format) disks which play in most newer DVD players
(DVD players that state that they play VCD or CD-R disks) |
| Whichever you choose you'll have the confidence of knowing that you've preserved your precious moments on a medium that is said to have a 100 year shelf life . So when your tapes have degraded or your vcr has gone out of style you can still watch your wedding vows, your daughter's first steps, or your son's first home run, in digital clarity. |
| Why bother to convert to a digital medium? |
| Because digital is the way of the future. It is sure to be around. Analog VCRs (the average everyday VCR) may not be common in years to come even if you were lucky enough to have a tape last that long (how many people remember Beta VCRs ?) . Additionally, having your videos in digital format on CD allows you to QUICKLY jump ahead to your favorite footage, to instantly cue up the beginning of the video, and it allows for easy duplication. You can send video CDs as gifts to your friends and relatives (make your own copies or we can do it for you). |
| Can digitizing restore a video that has already degraded? |
| Our process is a conversion from video you have in analog format to a digital format. It will not restore any quality already lost on your tape. But to keep your videos from being totally lost why not get them digitized as soon as possible. |
